When a person passes away, their survivors must determine and collect the deceased's assets, pay their debts and taxes, and distribute their remaining property. Our estate administration attorneys assist family members with these matters, including the determination of whether a formal probate or trust administration is needed and the best way to handle the transfer of property titles.
Beyond our experience with beneficiaries in estate administrations, we also represent trust departments of banks to defend the original intent of a trust and the person who established it. We also provide counseling in cases involving trustee misconduct and will and trust construction.
