Of Counsel
Cristy Tackett-Hunt helps families and business owners preserve, protect and transfer their wealth by developing tax-efficient estate plans and business structures that both accomplish client goals and minimize risk.
Estate Planning
As part of her estate planning practice, Cristy counsels individuals and families with modest to substantial assets, professionals in all stages of their careers and business owners. She cooperates with each client’s trusted advisors to understand their particular needs and objectives and, then employs a variety of tools to design the appropriate estate and asset protection plans, including simple and sophisticated revocable (living) and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney. Cristy also assists individual clients with pre- and post-marital agreements, business clients with issues relating to succession planning including buy-sell agreements and fiduciaries (trustees and executors) on matters relating to trust and estate administration. She is a member of WealthCounsel, a national organization of top estate planning attorneys, financial advisors and insurance professionals.
Business Law
In her business law practice, Cristy assists clients in identifying and forming an appropriate entity – whether that is a corporation, limited liability company, or partnership – or constructing a more sophisticated organizational structure. She further advises clients on issues relating to owner agreements, organizational governance, business transactions and dissolutions.
Before joining Snyder Park Nelson & Schwiebert PC, Cristy served as in-house counsel to a private trust company and as personal legal counsel to its high net-worth clients and as a tax consultant for an international accounting firm.
