Dee A. Runnels

Dee A. Runnels is a native of Clinton, Iowa. She is a 1972 magna cum laud graduate of Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, with an English major with a history minor. Following a year of teaching seventh-grade English and social studies, she worked in the Luther College Admissions Office. She then attended the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating with distinction in 1980. She was a clerk to the Scott County District Court of the Seventh Judicial District of Iowa in 1980-81, and has been in private practice in the Quad Cities since that time. Dee joined the predecessor of Snyder Park Nelson & Schwiebert P.C. in 1988.
Dee uses her legal education and experience to evaluate both sides of an issue and craft a common-sense solution.

Community Efforts:
Dee is also an active participant in the community. She was appointed to the Moline Public Library Board of Directors in 2008, and is currently serving as its President. She is also a member of the Development Association of Rock Island, a volunteer for Alternatives for the Older Adult, and a member of the Rotary Club of Moline, where she is the Chair of the Rotary Literacy Committee. Her past board service includes the Mississippi Valley Girl Scout Council; Skills, Inc.; Youth Service Bureau of Rock Island County; and Skip-A-Long Child Development Services. She has been a Lunch Buddy for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
